Two-tone upholstery is pure diner, but the Sunset Two-Tone does it in a lighter, more Scandinavian-retro way. The seat is a long orange cushion; the back is split down the middle, orange on one side and a woven oatmeal fabric on the other. Everything sits in an exposed oak frame: a raised oak tray under the seat, an oak side panel and three oak slab legs.
What you see
- Two-seat length with a two-part seat cushion
- Back split into two colored panels
- Open oak base on slab legs, with a pegged joint detail at the end
- Oak side panel that also forms the back support
Construction
Solid oak or oak-veneer frame, lacquered; high-resilience foam cushions on a solid deck; contract vinyl and contract fabric. The open base makes floor cleaning under the booth quick, which is often harder with a closed plinth.
Where it works
Retro cafes, brunch spots, coffee bars and diners that mix warm wood with one bold color. It also works as a freestanding bench along a window.
Options: colors and cover split (two vinyls, vinyl and fabric, or a single color), oak finish, length, back height. Foam can be specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 on request.
