A low back keeps a dining room open. At 36 in (91 cm) the back of this booth stops below shoulder height, so a server can see every table from the pass and the room feels bigger than it is.
Design details
- Olive-green contract vinyl on back, seat and sides
- Back in five wide vertical channels, finished square at the top
- Plain seat cushion with a crisp front edge
- Closed black plinth, set back slightly so shoes do not scuff the vinyl
Olive is a good working colour for a diner: it hides marks, pairs with chrome, wood and checkerboard floors, and looks equally right in a fifties room or a modern burger bar. The same booth can be built as a double for the middle of the room.
Construction: hardwood and plywood frame, glued and screwed, with corner blocks; high-resilience foam over a webbed or sprung deck; contract vinyl. Foam can be specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 on request.
Options: length for two or three guests, back height (36 or 42 in), single or double, vinyl colour, plinth finish.
