Some retro rooms want the cafeteria and schoolroom side of mid-century design rather than the chrome-and-neon side. The Homeroom has a separate oak plywood seat and back on a pale grey steel frame, with a simple joining bracket at the back.
Construction
- Oak plywood seat and back panels, commercial lacquer
- Pale grey powder-coated steel frame
- Floor glides
No upholstery means nothing to stain or tear, so this chair suits high-volume breakfast rooms, milkshake bars full of kids and patios under cover. Add a loose seat pad if you want more comfort.
Options: plywood finish (oak, walnut, colored), frame color (grey, black, white, red, mint), optional seat pad.
Because the seat and back are separate panels, either can be replaced if it is damaged. Bright frame colors such as tomato red or mint turn a plain dining room into a retro one with very little else. The chair also suits counter-service diners where guests carry their own trays.
